About me, Dennis Lueck
I was raised on a dairy farm, where the first sixteen years of my life were shaped by early mornings, hard work, and the quiet lessons that come from caring for land and animals. Along the way, I learned woodworking, mechanics, gardening, and the value of showing up—skills that taught me patience, humility, and respect for honest labour.
My calling eventually led me beyond the farm. With seminary training, college education, and eventually graduate degrees, I went on to serve as a pastor in congregations in Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, as well in communities in Saskatchewan. Throughout those years, I have walked alongside countless families through moments of grief, loss, and deep transition. Compassionate presence and caregiving have never been tasks for me—they have been my life’s purpose and my way of serving Christ.
For 59 years, I have shared life with my wife, Carol. Together we raised two sons and a daughter, and today we are grateful grandparents to seven beautiful grandchildren—each one a reminder of love, legacy, and the enduring importance of family.
