Ben Wayne Kiemele, age 45, passed away on April 5, 2026. He was born on July 16, 1980, in Calgary, Alberta, and was raised in Edson, Alberta, alongside his parents, Randy and Christine Kiemele, and his sister, Corrin.
Ben dedicated over half of his life to working in the oil field, building a career that he and his family were deeply proud of. Through his years in the industry, he also formed strong bonds and lasting friendships with his rig family, who became an important part of his life.
Outside of work, Ben had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Fishing was truly his passion. He could spend an entire day on the water, not for himself, but to help someone else catch the biggest fish or achieve their personal best. Seeing others succeed brought him genuine joy and lit up his face with a smile that those who knew him will never forget.
Ben also had a strong love for music. He enjoyed playing guitar and could often be found lost in a song, whether playing for himself or sharing that joy with others. Riding his motorcycle was another of his great passions—it gave him a sense of freedom and peace that reflected his adventurous spirit.
Ben had a presence that could light up any room. His smile and laughter were contagious, and his kindness knew no limits—he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Family meant everything to him. He had a strong heart and a sensitive soul, feeling deeply and loving passionately the people and things that mattered most to him.
Ben is lovingly remembered by his wife of 19 years, Robin Kiemele, and his six children: Pierce, Tristan, Austin, Wyatt, Sophia, and Everly Kiemele.
Always loved and remembered by parents Randy and Christine, sister Corrin (Kelly) and their children.
Survived and loved by dear friends and second family Les Bedford, Holly Stewart, and Christopher and Kandis.
A service to celebrate Ben’s life will be held at Victory Church, located at 1825 Victoria Avenue East, Regina, Saskatchewan, on May 5th at 11 a.m., with a luncheon to follow.
