It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Celeste Coupal on June 9, 2026, at the age of 65.
Born on September 28, 1960, Celeste lived a life centered on love, family, and connection. She found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by the people she loved, her pets, and especially treasured her role as a grandmother. Her grandchildren brought her endless pride and joy, and helping them grow was one of the most meaningful parts of her life.
Celeste was predeceased by her parents, Annie and Rene Coupal; her brother Clermont (Cec) Coupal and sister-in-law Helen; her sister Shirley Buller and brother-in-law Bill; her brother-in-law Sam Connaughty; and her nephews Troy Obrigewitsch and Michael Buller.
She leaves behind her loving children and their families:
Craig Hutchison and spouse Cindy, and their children Bailey and Peighton
Myles Zander and spouse Kristen, and their children Kohen, Khaleb, Zoey, and Levi
Ashton Zander and wife Kari-Lyn, and their children Marah, Ben, Imogen, and Luxton
Stepson Brandon Zander and his child Landon
Stepdaughter Kayleen Zander, and her daughter Callie
Celeste is also lovingly remembered by her sisters Marilyn Gendur (Bob), Irene Connaughty, Bernadette (Berni) Obrigewitsch (George Sanson), and Renee Woytiuk (Robert), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and neighbours.
Celeste will be remembered not only for the love she gave but for the incredible strength she carried through life. Over more than a decade, she faced numerous medical challenges with courage, determination, and grace. She was brave and resilient and continued to show up for the people she loved. To all that knew her, she was a fighter.
A service and celebration of life will be held at Regina Apostolic Church on June 19th, 2026 at 1:15 pm. 808 Assiniboine Ave E, Regina SK
In lieu of flowers, Celeste would be grateful of any donations provided to Allan Blair Cancer Centre or Wascana Rehab Centre.
From Celeste:
“Thank you everyone for your prayers and positive thoughts.
Remember — always hug your peeps.
You are important, you are loved, you are needed, you are the best just the way you are.”
