Darren John Winchester

November 12, 1965 – Saint John, New Brunswick

December 6, 2025 – Regina, Saskatchewan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Darren Winchester on December 6, 2025, at the age of 60, after a long and difficult battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and by the love of his wife and best friend, Jennelle Winchester, in his final moments. Darren was a devoted, loving father and stepfather to Jamie, Logan, Caine, and Chloe, and shared a special bond with his beloved Pomeranian, Leela. He took great pride in his role as a protector and provider for his family. Known for his frustratingly stubborn spirit, dry sarcastic humour, and an unmatched dedication to hard work, he fought hard in everything he did, all the way to the very end. Though his journey was anything but easy, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain and that his final moments were peaceful.

A celebration of Darren’s life will take place this summer, with details to be announced at a later date. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Pasqua Hospital for their kindness, compassion, and care in his final days.
