Donald Francis Hutmacher

Donald (Don) passed away on the morning of September 24, 2026, at the age of 83 years.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Taylor; son, Corey Taylor (Samantha); daughter, Ashley Hutmacher (Nick Myles); grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, Ava and Jack Taylor, Donavin Hutmacher, Madyson Duran, Logan and Ryder Myles; and great-grandson, Caysen Hutmacher.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Helen; his four nieces, Brenda, Shelley, Lori, Beverley, their families; and nephew, Darrell, with whom he had a special bond and spoke with almost daily during his final years.

During his career, Don travelled the province and made many friends along the way. He was a staunch Rider fan and a whiz with sports statistics and Canadian politics. He loved his little red truck and often made mention of it throughout the last ten years, when he was disabled and confined to care home living.

He greatly missed his brothers, Bill and Ken, and his sister-in-law, Goldene, who predeceased him.

There will be no funeral service. Don will be laid to rest with his parents, William and Margaret, in St. Benedict Cemetery at a later date, as per his wishes.
