It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Elizabeth May Smart, to some known as "Betty".  She left this world peacefully on March 11, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A woman of great spirit and vitality, Elizabeth had a deep love for life. She was an avid traveler, with Europe and Hawaii being two of her favorite destinations. Whether it was the cultural wonders of European cities or the tranquil beauty of the Hawaiian islands, she always returned with stories and memories to cherish. A lover of the arts, she found peace and joy in the symphony, often attending performances that moved her soul.  She loved her church family, and attended each Sunday until her health no longer allowed her to go, but she had a strong faith, even in her last days.

Elizabeth was a true fashionista, always ahead of the trends and passionate about the latest styles. Her love for shopping and fashion was matched only by her appreciation for the little things in life. She was a woman who loved being outside, basking in the sunshine while surrounded by the beauty of blooming flowers and the serenity of nature.

Though she didn’t have children of her own, Elizabeth had an immense heart for those in need, especially children. Her compassion knew no bounds, and she always found ways to help those less fortunate, offering her support whenever possible.

At her core, Elizabeth was a lover of simple pleasures. She could never resist a bowl of frozen yogurt or a scoop of ice cream, and she had a particular fondness for Mars Bars and anything chocolate!  Her zest for life was evident in the way she embraced the things that made her happiest, bringing joy to those around her.

Elizabeth was loved beyond measure and will be deeply missed by her chosen family, a group of friends who cherished her as their own. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed by all.

A celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held at a future date where she will be laid to rest with her mom and dad in Moose Jaw, SK.

Elizabeth, you will forever be remembered and always loved.
