After reaching the end of a long and well-lived journey, Harvey passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 84.

He was born on June 10, 1941, in Regina, Saskatchewan, to Joseph and Mary, and spent his childhood growing up there. Harvey graduated from Campion High School and entered the workforce, beginning a life defined by curiosity, adaptability, and an eagerness to learn.

Throughout his life, Harvey wore many hats. He worked as a stereo salesman, campaign manager, greenhouse operator, teacher, and chef—each role reflecting his wide-ranging interests and talents. A lifelong learner, Harvey was largely self-taught, from studying chemistry in his parents’ basement to teaching himself how to build and repair computers long before it became commonplace.

He found joy in gardening, cooking, sharing a good bottle of rum, and—most of all—spending time with his family. Harvey was also a man of faith who found strength and comfort in his Catholic beliefs. He will be deeply missed for his generous heart and unmistakable belly laugh.

Harvey was predeceased by his sisters, Kathleen and Christine. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Chris (Jennifer); his daughter, Jennifer (Burnie); and his grandchildren, Carter, Skylar, Ethan, Seamus, and Archer.

A Catholic Mass will be held in Harvey’s memory on March 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Dysart, Saskatchewan.
