Father Jonn Miller

Father Jonn Miller passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, at the age of 76.

Father Jonn was born in Ontario, Canada, in the Holy Year of 1950 on the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He was the third child in a French-Canadian family of 10 children. He was baptized at Notre Dame Cathedral in Ottawa.

In 1968, he graduated from High School with first class honours among 1,200 students, being exempted from having to write the final Exams. He attended two Seminaries, the first in Cap-Rouge, the second in Sherbrooke, both in Quebec.

During the Summers of 1968-70, he worked as assistant Director of Pilgrimage at Saint Anne de Beaupre Shrine, Quebec. He served the English-speaking pilgrims.

For 3 years, he was a missionary with the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in the James Bay of Northern Quebec, 80 miles South of the Hudson Bay.

On February 11, 1972, on the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, he was ordained as a Catholic priest at age 21, by Bishop Andre Beaupre, a priest ordained in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Montreal, Quebec. Ordination at such a young age is rarely heard of in the Catholic Church.  At that time, he was assisting Fr. Gerald Breault, a Paraclete priest and healer, in Commack, Long Island, New York, USA. Fr. Breault was the Custodian of the Miraculous Statue of Our Lady of Fatima that wept 17 times in 6 months in 1972.

Fr. Jonn then moved to Fatima, Portugal with Father Breault, to become the Secretary of Fr. Aloysius Ellacuria in the setting up of his religious Order, the Missionaries of Perpetual Adoration. Fr. Aloysius, CMF's cause is up for canonization at the Vatican. Fr. Aloysius was a well-known Basque Claretian mystic, with the reputation as a miracle worker ni California.

From 1973 to 1976, Fr. Jonn worked for the Oblate Most Reverend Bishop Omer Robidoux in Churchill, Manitoba, as founder and Coordinator of the local youth Centre, in a community that had the highest quota of juvenile delinquency in Canada.

From 1976 to 1981, he founded Canada's three most Northern Boys and Girls Clubs, in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. These clubs were associated with the National organization "Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada." He supervised 11 staff members that managed a youth membership of 585 children, such being the largest ever youth organization in the Yukon Territory.

In the following decade, he incorporated three youth organizations in Alberta to deal with the needs of children who were experiencing family separation and /or divorce.

During the 90's, in the spirit of ecumenism, he completed the study of over 150 Bible courses from ten different religions, averaging 97-99% in his Exams. During that time frame, he won International Awards being among the top 1% of the authors of poetry who had their work published in different Books of Anthology.

From August 1998 to December 2023, he founded and managed the website "Catholic Doors Ministry" which became the largest Canadian Catholic online ministry and was listed among the top 10 largest Catholic online ministries in the world, with over 10,000 webpages and from 7,000 to 13,000 daily visitors. He raised $200,000.00 which he donated to charities on an ongoing basis.

During that time frame, for nearly a decade, he was also involved with a Mission in India, the new Diocese of Kannur that Pope John-Paul I created in 1998, setting up their website, assisting with the raising of funds for the needs of the priests, for their new Cathedral, their Seminary, and a home for the elders.

In 1998, he authored the first 8 of 22 Bible Courses. He managed their registration and was involved in correcting the Exams of over 1,000 international students.

For 25 years, he authored Sunday and holy day homilies for the worldwide clergy to download for free and use them to preach their weekly homilies to the faithful.

After 25 years of volunteering with the online ministry, he retired from this work on December 19, 2023. This was to permit someone else, a layperson, to take over the ownership and management of the ministry to secure its future.

In 1999, he wrote the Thesis "Knowing God", an explanation of the Blessed Trinity. Father Maurice Levesque distributed copies of this 60 page work to two Bishops and Catholic theologians to review. Consequently, this work was acclaimed as a masterpiece, approved by the clergy that admitted for the first time that someone, Fr. Jonn Miller, had been able to explain the mystery of the Holy Trinity in simple terminology.

On February 11, 2022, Fr. Jonn reached his 50 years as a Catholic priest.

Fr. Jonn, a priest continued to celebrate the traditional Latin Mass on a daily basis, was renowned as a healer, a seer, a mystic and a teacher of the traditional faith.

At his request, there will be no funeral service.  He will be laid to rest in Mirable, Quebec.
