It is with heavy hearts that the family of Linda Ellen Carter announces her peaceful passing on November 2, 2026, at the age of 80, with her loving husband, Brian, by her side.

Linda and Brian shared a lifetime of love and companionship, having known each other since they were just nine years old. They would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on November 10.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend who found joy in life's simple pleasures. She especially enjoyed the years spent living on their acreage, where she loved being outdoors. Together, Linda and Brian enjoyed camping, golfing, and travelling, often packing their golf clubs into the car and heading off to Kimberley, British Columbia.

Linda will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Brian; her children, Troy and Jacquie; her brother, Brian Corscadden (Deb) and family; her sisters, Coreen Carter and family, and Brenda Rosentreter (Edgar) and family; as well as her brother-in-law, Grant Carter (Donna) and family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ada and Lloyd Corscadden; her parents-in-law, Harold and Nellie Carter; her sister Ann and brother-in-law Don Sinclair; her sister Darlene and brother-in-law Bill Heron; and her brother-in-law Donald Carter.

Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

When tomorrow starts without me

Please try to understand

That an angel came and

called my name

And took me by the hand

And said my place was ready

In Heaven far above

And that I’d have to leave behind

All those I dearly love

But when I walked through Heaven’s gates

I felt so much at home

When God looked down and smiled at me

From His great golden throne

He said this is eternity

All I have promised you

Today your life on earth has passed

But here it starts anew

I promise no tomorrow

For today will always last

And since each day is the same way

There is no longing for the past

So when tomorrow starts without me

Don’t think we are far apart

Every time you think of me

I’m right here in your heart.
