Owen Richard Tweidt

Owen was born in Saskatoon at Royal University Hospital and moved to Regina when he was 1, where he lived for the rest of his life.

Owen is survived by his mum Andrea Struble, his stepdad Devon, his step siblings Callum, Maddy, Paige (Saturn), his father Ty Tweidt, stepmother Teralyn and step sibling Reece. Owen also leaves behind his grandparents Ted and Julie Mansuy, Bev Tweidt, and Cheryl Struble, as well as his aunts and uncles Christa Frecon, Shasta Tweidt, Sara Tweidt (Rene Patenaude), Jody Struble, Jason (Natasha) Struble, Kendra (Darren) Baber, Rick (Julie) Struble and Amy (Wade) Abbott as well as many cousins. He was preceded in death by his Papa Rick Tweidt and Grandpa Richard Struble.

Owen was so proud to have worked his first job at the Autism Resource Centre as a caretaker. He was also proud to receive his grade 12 diploma from Sheldon Williams Collegiate in 2024. He was involved in musical theatre for 3 years which he loved very much. Owen had many amazing teachers throughout elementary school and high school who all held a special place in his heart.

Famous for his “Owenisms”, which was a word his mum coined to describe Owen’s unique and endearing outlook on life, Owen was quick to give you his point of view or opinion on a topic, which never ceased to make people laugh.

Owen loved Super Mario, and was an expert at making troll levels in the video game Mario Maker. He also had a special interest in the Regina Transit System and had the entire route for all the buses memorized. He enjoyed coming up with design ideas for new mega cities for transit systems and planning trips.

Family was very important to Owen. He loved to plan dates with his mum, frequent phone calls with his aunty Shasta, and visits with everyone. He enjoyed creating playlists for every occasion, big or small. Owen especially loved working on the farm and helping assist on projects around the house with Devon.

Owen liked to keep busy, and could be found riding the bus, visiting the cats at Excalipurr Cat Cafe, volunteering at the Food Bank, the Humane Society, taking classes at the Autism Resource Centre and going to group sessions at Creative Options Regina.
