In Loving Memory of Robert Clinton Peterson

With profound sadness, in loving memory we announce the passing of Robert Clinton Peterson, who was called home to be with his Lord on March 28, 2025. Born on December 2, 1939, in Radville, Saskatchewan, Robert lived a life filled with unwavering faith, love, and dedication to his family, friends and community.

As a devoted Christian, Robert’s faith was his foundation, guiding him through both the joys and trials of life with courage, determination, and perseverance. His kindness, generosity, and integrity touched the lives of all who knew him. His deep connection to God brought him peace, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, strength and wisdom that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Though he is no longer with us, his memory and his spirit will live on through the lives he touched.

Robert was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting and fishing, spending countless hours immersed in nature. His passion for working with his hands led him to become an accomplished carpenter and boat builder, leaving behind a legacy of skill and dedication in everything he created. Later in his career, he dedicated 10 years of service to the Government of the Northwest Territories (Safety Division). His strong work ethic and commitment to his community were evident throughout his life.

Above all, Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, cherishing time spent with his loved ones. He met the love of his life, Marilyn, in 1954, and they were married on October 3, 1959. Together, they shared 70 years of love, companionship, and cherished memories. Their bond was a testament to the strength of their faith and commitment. Robert is survived by his wife Marilyn, their children Glenn, Heather, and Brent, along with their grandchildren: Cody, Cole, Jordan, Bretton, and Devon, and great-grandchildren: Cooper, Jack, Charlie, Eva, MaryJane, Lumi, Astrid, and Jaxon. Robert is also survived by his sister Ruth Bailey, and many dear nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Hjelmer and Margetta, and his siblings Roger, Lillace, Bernice, and Dwaine.

The Celebration of Robert's Life will be held at the Weyburn Church of Christ, 1115 1st Avenue NE, Weyburn, SK, Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Robert’s memory by spending time outdoors,

planting a garden, building something with your hands, or sharing a story with loved ones—just as he would have wanted.
