Russell Raymond Cushion

Russell Raymond Cushion, 66, of Regina, Saskatchewan passed away on August 5th, 2026. Born in Humboldt, Sask, Russ enjoyed the simple things in life. Meeting friends for coffee at the neighbourhood Tim Hortons and having a cigarette, cruising on his motorcycle in the summer and beating the cold weather in the Philippines.

An early riser he was always the first to the shop and wished everyone a good morning. A friendly guy he made many friends here in Regina and overseas. He was a collector of discarded items and would bring them home to tinker with. He was the type of person to drop what he was doing to lend a hand to family and friends. This was especially true when it came to helping babysit the grandkids whether it was the middle of the day or late at night. Always arriving with a coffee and box of timbits for the kids.  

Russ is survived by his mother Maryann Cushion, siblings Leslie, Sheryl and Louella. Stepdaughter Jennifer Hammermeister, son-in-law Jason and children Austin, Addison and Anden. His eldest son Jory, daughter-in-law Whitney, and grandchildren Anabelle, Caleb and Boden. Youngest son Jeremy, daughter-in-law Brittany and grandchildren Rhea, Raina and Seeley.

In honour of Russ Cushion, the family invites you to join them at a casual celebration of Life on Saturday, Sept 5th at 1:00pm. It will be located at the Eastview Community Centre (615 6th Ave, Regina).
