About this package
What is included in a traditional funeral service?
A full ceremony at a location of your choosing — a church, chapel, community hall, or other venue — followed by burial at a cemetery. Our funeral director handles all coordination, documentation, and is present throughout both the service and the graveside committal.
Where can the service be held?
At a church, chapel, community hall, or any venue meaningful to your family. Sage can accommodate services at our facility as well. Venue fees are not included in the base package and vary by location.
Is a casket included in the price?
Casket selection is not included in the base package price as caskets vary widely. Our funeral director will present you with the available options and guide your family through the selection. You pay for the casket you choose.
Can we have a viewing before the service?
A family or public viewing is not included in the base package but can be added. Embalming may be required for certain types of viewing and is also available as an addition.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a traditional funeral service cost in Regina?
Sage's Traditional Funeral Service package starts at $3,235. This covers professional care, documentation, funeral director guidance at the service and graveside, and transportation to the cemetery. Casket, cemetery fees, and selected additions are extra.
Can the celebration of life be held outside of Sage Funeral Home?
Yes. The service can be held at a church, community hall, outdoor location, or any venue of your choosing. Venue rental fees are not included in the package price as they vary by location.
Does the price include the casket?
No. Casket selection is a separate cost. Our funeral director will guide you through the options available. There is no pressure — we present the choices and let you decide what feels right.
Can the service be livestreamed for family who cannot attend?
Livestreaming is available as an add-on. This is a popular option for families with loved ones in other provinces or countries who wish to be part of the service.
Is Sage Funeral Home licensed to provide cremation services in Saskatchewan?
Yes. Sage Funeral Home is licensed by the Funeral and Cremation Services Council of Saskatchewan (FCSCS). Our team holds a CFSP designation — Certified Funeral Service Practitioner — and we operate in full compliance with The Funeral and Cremation Services Act of Saskatchewan.
Is embalming required?
Embalming is not required by law in Saskatchewan but may be recommended in certain circumstances, particularly if there will be a viewing or visitation. Your funeral director will advise you based on your specific situation.
